The Cooperation of IPB and Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna

 

From 14 to 17 March 2017, the Fourth International Trade Fair "EXPO‒RUSSIA SERBIA 2017" was held in Belgrade. Scientific cooperation between Serbia and Russia, particularly between Institute of Physics Belgrade and Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR, http://www.jinr.ru/main-en/), Dubna was promoted. Cooperation between the institutions has been lasting for years, and since 2010 it has been supported through bilateral projects.

On 15 March 2017, meeting of the Russian scientific delegation was held with Prof. Dr. Vladimir Popović, the state secretary for science. The Road Map of the cooperation between Serbia and JINR was discussed: http://www.mpn.gov.rs/saradnja-dubne-i-ministarstva/

The representatives of Institute of Physics Belgrade were Dr. Mira Aničić Urošević (Environmental Physics Laboratory) and Dr. Dimitrije Maletić (Low-background Laboratory for Nuclear Physics) who are the members of Joint Coordination Committee on the JINR-Serbia scientific cooperation.

Currently, within the cooperation, three scientific themes are supported:

"Neutron activation analysis of environmental samples and new materials" (coordinator: Dr. Mira Aničić Urošević)

"Physics research at the NICA/MPD detector" (coordinator: Dr. Dimitrije Maletić)

"Theory of Nuclear Structure and Nuclear Reactions" (coordinator: Dr. Tasko Grozdanov)
