IN MEMORIAM-Dr. Dragan Popović

On Thursday 26 March 2015 Institute of Physics Belgrade held a Commemoration for our recently departed colleague Dr. Dragan Popovic, former Director of IPB (from 1994 to 2010) and Head of the Serbian research group participating in the ATLAS collaboration at CERN. The untimely death of our colleague is a great loss for his family and friends, for our institution and for the wider research community in Serbia.

Dragan Popovic's vision and decades-long effort helped forge IPB into and acknowledged research leader. We pledge to continuing his legacy and work to become a world class center of advanced science and technogy.

The feeling of sadness that we all share is offset by a feeling pride of having known Dragan, of having been his colleagues and friends.
