Strengthening IPB collaboration with CERN

CERN (Geneva, Switzerland)

On February 26, 2014 Prof. Rolf-Dieter Heuer, Director General of CERN and Dr Aleksandar Belic, Director of the Institute of Physics Belgrade (IPB) signed a Framework Collaboration Agreement that will make it possible to reinforce and expand the ongoing collaboration between the two institutions. It is envisioned that the current successful involvement of IPB research teams in ATLAS, Scientific Computing, and NA61 collaborations will be expanded to other areas such as high-energy theory and the design of future detectors.

On the same occasion, a Framework Collaboration Agreement has been signed between CERN and the Faculty of Physics of the University of Belgrade. It is planned that these Collaboration Agreements will be followed by an Agreement with the University of Belgrade as a whole, encouraging wider participation of research and engineering teams from other University members as well.
